Zacahuil

Zacahuil is a pre-Hispanic dish, originally from Mexico, made with broken corn dough, stirred with a special sauce based on different chilies and spices, filled with pork, wrapped with banana leaf and baked in a stone oven for 8 hours. Served in individual portions accompanied by carrots and pickled jalapeño peppers.
